I deleted them right after I read them because I was so pissed at the nonsense responses.


He basically told me that the season was disappointing but they continued to believe that Buzz was the answer going forward.

What pissed me off was some asshole that has been at Wake for just 4 years in a professional capacity telling me that he "appreciates my passion for Wake Forest." Like he has the right to talk about my passion being some random employee.


Sent him this email tonight:

We would love to work with the Ath Dept, but I will never ever suppress any information or speculation. I'm sure that rules us out, but maybe it would be better for y'all to honestly engage with the fan base than your current strategy of hiding any and everything from them?

Tony went at Ty's head during last year's summer league. LD and Ty have a verbal altercation every year, including LD calling him a "fucking pussy" very loudly for everyone to hear last year.

I should've added to my OP that a lot of my "sources" complained about the lack of Wake grads in the AD ... esp. the marketing dept

True. I have no fucking idea whom Shutt is, but I do know that you have to expect an AD employee to spew shit like that. It's his job. He's a spin guy. It's what he's paid to do.

This is a fair point. Personally, I don't think the AD erred all that much in this. It's Scout's fault for not standing up for themselves. The AD is SUPPOSED to protect the interests and perspective of the institution, that's why they're there

I'd prefer them to say something more plausible. Like, "While this year was awful and nobody is pleased, we are confident that we will be better in the future, and will settle for nothing less than improvement."


Not, "We believe Coach [Redacted] did the best job possible and are certain that things will improve next year."

Massive difference. One expects and demands change. The other...not so much.



I asked if our record next year was the exact same as this year if Buzz would be fired (S Shutt asked me for questions, so I was happy to provide some!)

The response I got:
"I cannot speak for that directly, but we are sure that the record won't be the same."


Awesome. I feel much better. Twats.

It's pretty obvious that you, me, Irish...hell, possibly even RULZ care more about Wake that Steve Shutt. Just don't have unrealistic expectations about what a guy in his positions offers, b/c it's little more than spin.
