2023-2024 NCAA Men's Basketball Thread

Lunardi’s bracket today has Clemson making the national championship game. So the ACC blows but the 7th place team is going to the natty. Makes perfect sense.
You do realize that the brackets that show the outcomes are not his simulations right? He just puts out a bracket and the people run it through simulators.

I did not realize that lol.
I’ll just field the Lunardi hate.

Pitt trying to end UVA’s home streak before Wake gets their chance. Up 4 @ half (35-31).

Man I wish we got UNC at home this year.

Syracuse up by 6 on them in the second half in the carrier dome

Pitt has won road games at Louisville, Duke, Georgia Tech, and NC St thus far. Now lead at UVA under 8 mins left.

Watching LSU play defense against Florida, how on earth did we lose to LSU? Reid or no Reid, that’s a bad loss

Of course uva would end their home streak to fucking pitt right before they play us.

Sycamores ranked for the first time since Larry Bird played in Terre Haute:

FWIW, Indiana State is 22-3. Their coach Josh Schertz is awesome. When Schertz was hired in the Spring of 2021. Indiana State had lost every productive player after the prior coach, Greg Lansing was fired, including Jake LaRavia. With a completely bare cupboard and only one NCAAT appearacne in decades, rebuilding Indiana State seemed difficult, if not impossible. Instead, in year 3, the Sycamores are ranked and play a high octane run and gun style that is entertaining and super-successful. ISU leads the nation in Effective FG%. Every Power Conference school with an opening has to consider Schertz.

17.5 point favorites vs Illinois State, currently down by 10 with two minutes to go. Somebody doesn't know how to handle newfound success.

Indiana State gets ranked for the first time in more than 40 years and then may lose as 17 point favorites. Would be their first home loss of the season

Some people still care about the number beside the name. UVA will still have that on Saturday at least.

1/20/2010 at #24 UNC. We also won a road game at Gonzaga earlier that same season. Interestingly, we've only averaged a couple of opportunities each season since then.
Just a reminder of the last time we got a road win against a team that was ranked.
