2023 Football Schedule

Week 2 has 'ville and FSU kicking off a 7:30 and 8:30 respectively. Does that mean regional coveragge, or one gets moved to ACCN+?

Great news for tailgaters !!!!

Home Schedule:

Elon 8/31 on a Thursday night
Vandy on 9/9 at 11 AM
GA Tech 9/23 TBA - First decent chance for a tailgate, so probably a noon game for FAMILY WEEKEND !

The ACC has decided to feed into the narrative that they are a lesser conference.

An 11:00 kickoff is ridiculous

FWIW, every conference with teams in any time zone, including the SEC, Big 10 and Big 12, other than the Eastern time zone has had 11 am kickoffs for years. As an example, the Texas/OU football game has had a 11 am kickoff for years.

11 AM LOCAL. Not 11 AM EST.

They're pushing a tight 3 hour, 15 min window for four games. Decent chance some of those games run over.

Saturday, Sept. 9

P5 Games
Vanderbilt at Wake Forest, 11 a.m., ACCN
Notre Dame at NC State, Noon, ABC
Purdue at Virginia Tech, Noon, ESPN2
Texas A&M at Miami, 3:30 p.m., ABC
Cincinnati at Pitt, TBD time/network

G5 Games
James Madison at Virginia, Noon, ESPNU
Appalachian State at North Carolina, 5:15 p.m., ACCN
Southern Miss at Florida State, 8:30 p.m., ACCN
Western Michigan at Syracuse, TBD time/network

FCS Games
Holy Cross at Boston College, Noon, ACCNX/ESPN+
South Carolina State at Georgia Tech, 1 p.m., ACCNX/ESPN+
Charleston Southern at Clemson, 2:15 p.m., ACCN
Lafayette at Duke, 6 p.m., ACCNX/ESPN+

Five P5 games and Vandy-Wake is the only one on ACCN. Three are on ABC or ESPN2 and we don't know about Cincy-Pitt.

JMU-UVa gets noon ESPNU instead of 11 am ACCN.

Charleston Southern-Clemson gets ACCN instead of ACCNX.

Wake definitely got screwed here.

IIRC, in 2022, WF at Vandy was a 11 am kickoff (CDT), and it was televised on the SEC Network.

Wake definitely got screwed here.
Get used to it. The other ACC AD's have publicly announced that is their goal. No reason to expect seemingly fair treatment ever again.

Unfortunate that the Vandy-WF game is at 11:00 and on the ACCN.

However, if WF wants to play non-conference games at better times and on better networks, WF should schedule better than the worst P5 team in the country.

Understand WF is also playing at Notre Dame, but our OOC schedule is very poor more often than not.

So did Vandy. They will be getting that game at 10:00 AM. And for Deacon fans on the West coast, they will get to "wake up with Wake football" for an 8:00 AM kickoff
