ACC Football Schedule Released

NCCU @ Duke confirmed for Sept. 15, so everyone's non-conf slate is set bar GT's.

As for Wake impact, think this means we're headed to Tally on Sept. 15. 'Noles need an opponent that weekend but only one of their other ACC opponents, Miami, also has an opening then. And Sept. 15 would be an early/random date for those two rivals to play, esp given Miami's first two games are relatively tough (@ BC and @ K St).

So as numbers said before, looking like a relatively tough ACC opening with the Heels at home followed by the 'Noles away. We'll know how good we are relatively quickly next year

If next year is like previous years, the first half of the season is just going to build expectations for a disappointing second half of the season. I want as many division games as possible before October 20.

could this possibly be a depth issue, our starters are getting beat up and worn out and the depth is not great enough yet to make an impact.

How incredibly insightful. Injuries knock people out, and the backups aren't as good as the starters. How has no one thought of this before?

And apparently Wake is the only team that suffers injuries. I'm not sure how people can still use that excuse given that in our best season, we were down to our 3rd QB and no RBs.

Because it was the defense that won those games for us that year and we had no significant injuries. Had Curry, Phonz, Chip, or a couple others go out it could have went the other way. Riley did not blow anyone's socks off his freshman year.

No, our backups aren't as good as the backups at more established programs.

Correct, because it takes years in the program and the redshirts to develop our starters the backups are younger and not as far along. If Tanner goes down next year, we could be in trouble. We have Brendan Cross who has maybe played 2 snaps in is career he may be capable. And we have Sousa who didn't get a full year of practice and strength and conditioning last year due to injury. The whole season would be like the last 10 minutes of the Syracuse game last year. Although I still think Brendan would have been a better option the Stachitas.

Deal is done. FSU is paying 475k for savannah state to make the trip. It will make 2 division 1-AA teams now on the schedule. Gonna catch a lot of sh*t for it but WVU put them in a bad spot. Sounds like there will be a lawsuit for lost revenue.

As already stated, not much they can do if WVU followed the rules of the contract (unlike what they signed with the Big East). However, maybe it will give other teams concern about scheduling WVU and force them to have weaker schedules and hurt them in ticket sales and potential BCS standings due to poor OOC schedules.

Don't like the schedule given how poorly we finish. It would be much better to have MD and Duke later like this year.
