Adam Sandler's new movie flops

Yeah, it's pretty much a guaranteed money maker, and indeed, it is an excuse for them to hang out. And this one has Taylor Lautner in it.

Who wouldn't want to hang out with their best friends and make millions of dollars doing little work. What did the last one make 170-180 million.

A lot of people like Sandler movies and they make big money. This answer your questions about why he makes so many.

Happy Gilmore is way to low and Jack and Jill and Mr. Deeds are way to high.

I thought Funny People was going to be interesting comedy about the lives of young comedians trying to break into the business juxtaposed against the life of a bitter old comedian who never quite dealt with the cost of fame.

It wasn't that. Aziz and Aubrey were good in it though. The James Taylor bit was hilarious.

Just realized while listening to Louis CK on Fresh Air that he manages to hit this beat and similar ones in his show. I'd love to see him to a movie that is what Funny People should have been.

I enjoyed 50 first dates and Chuck and Larry. Wedding Singer might be my favorite on the list - I like the 80s music and Drew Barrymore. I wouldn't call any of them great cinema, that is for sure.

I just looked it up and it's at Number 2 at the box office. :( It looks like such a pile of shit.

Grown ups 2 was awful, but exactly what I expected it to be.

Grown Ups 2 made more than Pacific Rim. I'm seriously bummed about this, it really makes me sad about how fucking stupid we are.

Grownups I liked. It was a red box movie for me and I thought it was funny. GF and I went to Grownups 2 just to see a light hearted comedy. It was the worse movie I have ever seen. Really bad. Shaq was terrible. The guy who played Spade's kid was beyond terrible. It was really really bad and it wasn't just me. Nobody in the audience was laughing. I'm struggling with this whole summer so far. Maybe the Matt Damon movie will be good. I saw Man of Steel and it was entertaining but not great. Nothing like the Avengers last year or even Ironman 3 which was the best thing so far this year.

Simmons had a podcast the other day with Wesley Morris talking about basically what the problem with movies is and where they are headed. They discussed a lot of things, but it's because the premise of Idiocracy is actually happening and people go see shit like Grown Ups 2.
