Bullshit Trump Says

He’s winged shit and been unprepared his entire life “making deals” (aka getting a fat loan from his daddy and going bankrupt over and over), why would he need to be prepared to talk to other presidents in a knowledgeable way when he’s gone his whole life surrounded by yes-men crumb snatchers? That’s the least shocking article ever. CNN didn’t need to spend time on that shit for anyone to know be like “oh wow, really?” We have an entitled man baby as president.

yeah why waste time reading and preparing when he could better spend that time making deals? he knows more than the generals, he has the best gut instincts, etc.

His base consists of a) fellow plutocrats who are using him to further enrich themselves, and don't care that he's an idiot, and b) rural and some suburban white folk, mostly Evangelical Protestants, who are frightened of all the demographic and economic and technological changes of the past thirty or so years and have convinced themselves that he is their last Great White Hope to keep control of the government and society, so to speak. They've deluded themselves into believing that he really is their champion, and not a scam artist who secretly looks down on them as losers and gullible suckers. The amount of grateful BS they spew about him ("isn't it wonderful to have a REAL Christian who believes in God in the White House again?") is really something.

Trump literally has no idea about any of that. He's congratulating his friend Xi who says nice things about him. 70 years of anything is something to celebrate!

Not even close. But it’s a group that has long had disproportionately more power while also feeling like they’re victims.
 
Trump thinks flattery is the absolute best way to communicate with someone that you need something from. In his mind, flattery is the ultimate communication tool because it's what works like a charm when used on him.
