Going to Dallas for the first time the 3rd week of September. Any can't-miss things to do or places to eat? I'll have a couple of free days and a rental car to explore the surrounding area, too.
Dallas is huge, with a lot of different areas. A lot of newly developed areas as you go outward. But for kicks, Pecan Lodge for BBQ. The Deep Ellum area is a solid night life spot. Clyde Warren Park is cool if it’s not hot as hell. Have fun!
Spending a weekend in Cascais at the Hotel Albatroz for my birthday, highly recommend. Enjoying a Cohiba and some Portuguese wine while over looking the ocean. No complaints.
While I’m a loooong way from retiring, I’ve actually been half-assed looking at second homes in Cascais for retirement.
So where’d you end up in Lisbon? Such an incredible city. If you haven’t hit Belcanto yet for dinner, you defs need to. And Cervejeria Ramiro is also amazing for fresh seafood. Fuck, I gotta get back there soon. Maybe next year.
I would say Cascais would be ideal for a retirement home, actually met a Clemson fan this weekend who was doing that. We live up by Campo Grande, close to the airport. Did Ramiro’s our first night, don’t know how long ago you were here, but it’s become a bit of a tourist spot after Anthony Bourdain. There was an hour and a half wait when we did it, but it was good for one time.
Anyone spend much time in Palm Springs? If we wanted to spend the Xmas-New Years week out there, maybe hit up Joshua Tree, what would we do? Just hang out at the pool at the hotel?
