Chip Kelly still has the show cause thing for next year. Texas won't want to deal with that. He's in the pros for at least another year.

Where does this come from?

Texas A&M hired Sumlin, but Texas has some secret code against mixed marriages? Or are you saying that there is a rule that both Texas and A&M cannot both have coaches that are married to white women? At this point, Texas would hire Mister Marcus as its head coach and let him run a porn company on the side exclusively dedicated to jungle fever if it meant Texas would win a NC.

Agree with Pilch. These antiquated notions of race being a hiring factor are ridiculous. A&M is much more conservative school than UT.

Also, there are rumors that Saban is not happy with Bama OC Doug Nussmeier. Bama has brought in Lane Kiffin as a consultant; could he replace Nussmeier at the end of the season?

Former WF assistant Keith Henry is rumored to be a candidate for the Winston-Salem State job.

Bowling Green: A source tells me that Bowling Green has their guy. I'm told it's not Rob Ambrose, Ed Warriner, or DJ Durkin. The other name that was mentioned for the job was Eastern Illinois head coach Dino Babers. CoachingSearch is working to confirm if it's Babers or a surprise hire like a Willie Fritz or Chris Ash.

I think Clawson mentioned he would like to bring the BG interim head coach if he didn't get the job.

Don't know if those are good odds, but I suspect those a probably the three most likely.
 
5-7 years ago, if there was an opening at Penn State, there would have been at least some small chatter about Grobe. Amazing how much changed negatively for him in that period. And for Penn State.

Yep. Happens all the time. Several years ago Gary Patterson was the hot guy to replace Mack, now he's not even mentioned.
