Canton Mass native and Bruins fan Bill Burr said it best: FUCK YOU PHILADELPHIA
If Bergeron is ok. I don't know what is wrong, but the Bruins need him bad. Otherwise it could affect them like the Krejci injury last year.
Flyers have to figure out the goalie situation and also not play their best hockey October through March... then stink...
If you don't have your best player, you're not going to play your best hockey.
Losing to that Philadelphia team in embarrassing fashion in game 7 was clearly worthy of a contract extension. Terry Pegula is definitely going to turn the Sabres into a powerhouse.

In general, you're obviously right, but that wasn't the problem here. They didn't just play poorly as a team because they were missing Pronger and Carter. Just about every player except JVR was subpar individually. Even with Pronger and Carter, they might have still gotten swept.
IMHO, the goaltending against Boston was mostly adequate, but the guys in front of them were worn down emotionally from how bad it was in the Buffalo series. Spotting a good team a couple goals every game and pulling your goalie before rallying must be draining.
Clearly you haven't watched too many of the games. "That Philadelphia team" that just got swept by Boston was not the same team that beat the Sabres. They'd clearly run out of gas.
Boston-Tampa should be a good series but I expect Tampa to win it in probably 6. Boston looked good against the Flyers partly because the Flyers didn't play well. Tamps is just red hot right now.
Agreed. I also wonder if the whole year caught up with them. The team played as long a season last year as was possible, came out flying this season, and seemed to fall back down to earth after the all star break. It's always crazy to hear all the injury reports that come out after the season is over.
On to cheering for Gagne and the Lightning.
