Ongoing gun violence/injury thread

I think the second amendment is anachronistic and I’d be happy to see its repeal.

The first? Nah. It’s tempting, and limiting hate speech could be effective and helpful. But someone like Trumputin and the Trumpublicans would abuse the hell out of such power.

It’s not just that. The AR-15s and such are designed to make conceal and open carry guns ineffective. And then once people start bringing their own AR-15a to fight mass shooters, the body counts will just go up because AR-15s aren’t made to shoot one guy in a crowd in a chaotic situation.

I don't comment here as I rule but this made me laugh.

Hammers kill more people each year than AR 15s.
Kinda obvious most here are lost.

you don't see the insanity of today's democrat party's unconstrained rush to be entirely dominated by the loony left?

The leading candidate for President in the donkey party is Joe Biden, a solid republican by 1980s standards. What the fuck does the Green New deal have to do with ending Nazism and fighting gun violence? AOC derangement syndrome is in full effect.

Fear and projection, as demonstrated by Larry's comments, are all the right has left.

yeah, and let's throw in open borders, free medical care for everyone, and the Green New Deal to make it all work flawlessly

(making sure the crystals are properly lined up while we tax the hell out of anyone who makes more than us couldn't hurt either)
In response to this:
I think anyone rational agrees with getting rid of the guns. Let's just do that and get rid of the crazy 8chan white supremacy websites at the same time and be doubly safe.

Your post is basically a non-sequitur with palma's post. And then you go and throw out a bunch of other nonsense in subsequent posts that have nothing to do with this thread.
Its pretty clear your dementia is in full bloom. Hence the thoughts and prayers.

Not to mention that he was responding to Palma; something like 93% of Palma’s tunnels posts are trolling Libs for the Trump hatred.

Indeed. I saw some posts recently about a poli sci study that showed while the Democrats have moved only slightly to the left in the last 30 to 40 years, the GOP has moved to the extreme right, and is in fact on the same level with some openly white nationalist political parties in Europe now. Everything with the GOP and Trump involves projection. Their party has clearly moved to the extreme right - as early as the 90s people like Goldwater and Bob Dole, who were considered hard-right in their day, were under attack for being too moderate and for talking negatively about how the GOP had moved even more to the right than they were politically. John McCain was considered a hard-right conservative when he was first elected to the Senate in 1986, and by the time he died he was being attacked as a RINO by many in his own party, including Trump. Only someone on the extreme right of the political spectrum would consider Obama or either Clinton to be a socialist or marxist or whatever the hell left-wing label they want to use. In virtually any other world democracy Hillary and Obama would have been viewed as centrists, or maybe even a little right of center on some issues. It's not the Democrats who are being taken over by the "loony left", it's the GOP that has already been taken over lock, stock, and barrel by the fanatical far right.

I’m getting tired of this “X would have been a Republicans in the whatevers” talk. Biden was a Democrat in the 80s. He’s always been a Democrat.

You probably shouldn't comment anywhere. Seriously, it's probably best that you stop speaking and writing altogether.

You are missing the point. Biden is solidly middle of the road. Generally, he wants market solutions for progressive ideas and he is leading in all polls for the Democratic nomination. So to say that the "Democrat Party" is over run by the looney left is ridiculous.

Many rapes and murders aren't solved. So, let's not do anything about the others.

You make no sense.

I like you man, and I know this won’t be received well, but it almost sounds like a whatabout.

RJ has not anything negative to YOU in months, but YOU feel the need to act this way out of the blue?? There doesn't need to be friction, but YOU choose to make it that way.

Hell, RJ and Salior might not agree on what day it is, but most of time they have fun. That doesn't seem possible with YOU. YOU have to try to put RJ down. Sad.
