So, it's been a hectic week, but I owe you guys an update on Tucker.
When we first brought him home, it was expected that he was fully good to go. Instead, he kept drinking a TON of water and peeing all the time (we were having to wake up at 3am and 6am to take him out), indicating he was still having kidney problems. We took him back to the vet on Saturday, and his creatine levels in his blood were tracking back upwards. We were pretty discouraged, thinking the IV flush the past week helped clear his kidneys out, but that he still had permanent damage. The vet asked us to come back for more blood work in 2 days to see if his body was self-correcting or if it was actually getting worse.
He was at the vet today, and his blood is now getting better. He still drinks a lot of water, but it seems like a natural part of the correction process now. Fucking love dogs, man. He has no idea what he's doing but his body says DRINK and now he's healing himself.
TL;DR: Tucker is HEALTHY.
