Bob jog stroller for runs is great. Worth it, I think we got ours from a friend tho
So we are night 4 of the transition and so far so good. We set the bed up about a month and a half ago and have been doing the book before bed in it since then so it's viewed as a quiet winding down spot and called it his bed the entire time. So far he's only gotten out of bed once during the first three nights and it was immediately after I left. After putting him back in and tucking him in he didn't get up again. Night 1 required us to be a lot quieter than usual and he called us a few times but we ignored him since he wasn't upset or anything. I think the slower transition has helped. He'll be 2 in March, so we waited a little longer than originally planned. Baby 2 is still in our room and will stay there until he's more consistently going all night so as to not wake up number 1 and to give number 1 more time to stop thinking of the crib as his.Yeah I was particularly interested in your response; we're about to have a similar situation where new baby is arriving and daughter #1 is not yet 2 years old. I don't want to buy two cribs either.
Hopefully it goes well for you.
We have the Graco Snugride 35 for infant seat and have been very happy with that (currently using for second kid and holding up well). To go with it we got the snap n go stroller which has gotten a TON of use. Obviously it's only really good for when you're still toting around the car seat, but it's so easy to toss in the car and transfer from car to stroller.
For both other carseats (convertible and now the bigger one that converts to booster) we've done Britax and liked those as well.
If you plan to jog I think the BOB is great. However, if you just want a more rugged stroller, you probably don't need it. I know a lot of folks around us love their Citi Minis. A lot depends on where you live and what you plan to use it for - city/sidewalks vs suburbs vs trail walking vs shopping/restaurants, etc.
We also have a little umbrella fold up that wasn't all that expensive but has held up well for what it's used for (being light and easily transportable).
we have an Uppa Baby Vista with their car seat. Stuff is very well built and rugged if not heavy. Our folder is a Summer 3D light and I've been happy with that, too.
So the Uppa car seat was compatible with the Summer 3D light?
boy is Yuge, like a rassler. No way he does car seat on plane
I'm sure this has been addressed somewhere in the thread, but advice on car seats (and strollers that go with them I guess?). Chicco? Britax? Grecco? Doesn't necessarily need to be top of the line, but we are willing to spend more if it means more convenience/ease of use.
