WF at SYRACUSE, Saturday 3:30 ESPN2

It was one of the biggest manufacturers in Syracuse in 1980 when it opened. It was the furthest thing from stupid in that moment.

Kudos to you for being on these boards since 2011. Hope (and believe) we take you out but good luck.

sure but maybe they shoulda underwritten some of their products to be installed. it'd be like the Pepsi Center serving Coke. Or Busch Stadium being dry.

It was stupid to have a building without air conditioning named for an air conditioning company.

I’m confused about something…Nasir Greer isn’t listed on the depth chart for Syracuse but was for Louisville. He didn’t play against Louisville obviously, but could he play against Syracuse if he’s not listed on the depth chart? Not sure how it works. Clearly there is discretion for the coach, but not sure if there’s an issue to play someone who isn’t officially listed. Anyone know?

What is actually wrong with Greer? When he first went out it seemed like it was going to be pretty short term.

Depth chart is for shits and grins only; anyone can play (Mustafa, for one, played vs Louisville).

That said, discouraging of Greer is not on depth chart.

yeah and every week Clawson says something like "if it was the ACC Championship, he would've played." Which makes it seem like his injury wouldn't have too long of a recovery time, but alas.

They're trying to get Greer through the bye week I assume.

If you are making the trip.

In accordance with public health guidelines, for Syracuse University Football Games and other large events hosted in the stadium.

All fans 12 years and older will have to show proof of full vaccination or proof of a negative COVID-19 test to enter the stadium.

Based on current public health guidelines, masks are required for all patrons over the age of four (vaccinated and unvaccinated), while indoors at the stadium and outdoors when in the presence of others for all events.

Children aged 5 to 11, who cannot receive the vaccination, are required to provide proof of a negative COVID-19 test and must wear a mask.

ESPN's "The Bear" is on Syracuse +6.5. He has been on WF for much of the year, including WF over FSU.

The Syracuse defense is on paper the best defense we have faced this season by a good margin. I am confident we will be able to score, but it will be interesting to see how the team responds if we don't. Can the WF defense get stops when we need it in a close game?

Liberty is a good offense (seriously), and the Orange held them to 21 points.

If we score 30+, Cuse has no chance. If we don't, we will be tested. Recent history has shown us we have had little problem scoring at the dome, but assuming this year's Orange D is much better.

Honestly, it will all come down to interior line play. If their DTs get good push and become disrupters, it will be a long day.

Our whole offense is based on freezing defenders in their reads. Even the handoff plays to Roberson many around here complained about were part of this. In the first few games when you saw him go in motion, it pretty much always signaled a pass play. By adding that wrinkle, it freezes linebackers/secondary a little bit more, opening up holes in the middle and the deep ball, even if those handoff didn’t net big games. If we get a defense reacting, then we win. It’s when they have the athletes just a blow up plays, like we’ve seen with Clemson in the past few years, that’s we are in trouble.

However, with what we’ve seen this year, I am more confident in adjusting scheme if the base RPO isn’t working. Ruggiero has called some excellent games this year and fell we’ll be able to run (or swing) outside the tackles if they get push up the middle.

Must win game for any chance of a seriously "special" year. Win or bust.
