Women's Volleyball

Might try to swing by on Sunday before heading back. Between that and the baseball game at 1.
 
'No moral victories', yada yada.

WF gave a stacked national championship contender (Louisville lost to Texas in the NCAA Final last year) & the best team in our conference everything they could handle tonight.

We punched them in the face, out of the gate.

Our ladies are tough as hell, and every 50/50 bounce in the 5th set went Louisville's way.

Coach Smart is taking this program places & it's fun to witness.
 
Ladies are up 2 sets to 0 over ND right now and looking solid to win the 3rd set for the match. 13-8 currently.
 
15-6, #29 RPI.

Their biggest non-con win UCF is 16-4 and entered the rankings last week at #24. But they'll probably drop out after losing twice to #21 Baylor. Looks like that's the best win of the season with two near misses against likely top 10 Louisville and GT.

Why doesn't volleyball have an ACC Tournament?

  • Regionals (Rounds of 16 and eight) | Dec. 7 to Dec. 9
  • Semifinals | Dec. 14
  • National championship: Dec. 17
NCAA Semis and Finals are set for Tampa. USF is the host.
 
Lady Deacs get it done tonight in Charlottesville! Dropped 1st set and won next 3! Great road win.
 
Picked up a 3-1 win at Virginia (8-13, 1-11). They play at #7 Pitt (19-3, 10-1) on Sunday at 1:00. Another chance at a huge win.
 
Down 25-19, 25-15 to #7 Pitt.
 
16-7 (7-5) Wake at 15-8 (6-6) Duke 1-1 fighting to come back in the 3rd set down 24-20 on the ESPN app.
 
Not the quality win they need but they've stumbled on the road.
 
Great road win! Great effort to drop 1st 2 sets and then sweep out, Go Lady Deacs!
 
If we win out we are 21-8 (12-6). is that enough to get a bid?
