No, just appropriate for the surrounding. Sort of a combo of don't be an asshole, consider your neighbors etc. Also, like pornography you know it when you see it.

I've never been to a baseball game where everybody in the stands wasn't just shooting the shit around me, talking about anything, dicking around on their phone.
Yeah, but only during the games that aren't absolutely riveting...

headphones are gonna pretty much insulate you sonically from the sounds outside your eardrums tho

the way i understand it bumpin on a nature trail with like a handheld bluetooth means you hear both like a remix of sorts

still kinda stuck on this public spaces need to be quiet argument which is fascinating to me

i named the three places where i think quiet should be the norm; the beach may be the least annoying of the three, depending on the crowd/number of people

I'm not a fan of the people bumpin' on a nature trail because it's gonna scare off any animals that I might see.

that's fair - the "why" is very interesting to me i guess

I also can't stand it if people don't like me or are angry with me , even if they have no valid reason. This is a terrible, terrible quality to have in the sports aspect of my job, because someone is always gonna be pissed with me about something.
