Ohio State Somali Knife Wielder Confirmed To Be Terrorist

I'm so sick and tired of the media and social media warriors sensationalizing the prejudices in our country.
I'm sick and tired of conservatives dismissing the outright prejudiced actions happening in our country that are reported in the news. Nothing's ever a big deal until it happens to you.

This is evenly applied right? I think the same thing about the "War on Christmas." For instance, if someone makes a big fucking deal because their cashier says "Happy Holidays" instead of "Merry Christmas" or "Happy Birthday to our Risen Lord and Savior Jesus Christ." Can't you just quietly practice your religion?

Yes. Absolutely agree.

Make you a deal, let's all say Happy Holidays and no more Islamic mass killings for the rest of the year. Deal?

You and 305 Electors.

You realize this applies to both ends of the spectrum right?

I could easily say the same thing to you about worrying about terrorism, and you to me about gun control, etc.

Also obviously semantics, but it's not going to be 306 electors because one has already resigned rather than give his to Trump, while several others have said they won't adhere to Trump either.

How about we all give up our guns and no more Radical Islamic Terrorism for the rest of the year. Deal?

Not a deal I can make. I neither have control over how others offer holiday greetings nor over mass killings (from any faith).

I am sorry for talking about the facts of this case, but how would we have stopped this knife attack?

Both ends of the spectrum got over 300EVS? I think you've been reading too much of the #fakenews.

Not to be missed, I.T.T., a college professor bemoans the lack of police violence as evidence of racism.

I try not to go through life like this and I hope for the good of our country that others don't either.

Prejudices exist in every day life and nothing is ever going to change that. I anticipate many more attacks from legal citizens and illegals over the rest of our lives. MDMH isn't going to be able to change that outcome and neither CreamyGoodness. That's where accountability and community involvement play a heavy role.

Which offends you more (because it is hard to tell)?

One of my best friends in college was a Muslim. He'd bust out the prayer rug every day and do his thing. You know how white and black people handled it? You know how Hispanics handled it? Rednecks, Asians, jocks, outcasts, etc.? They minded their own fucking business. I'm so sick and tired of the media and social media warriors sensationalizing the prejudices in our country.

"sensationalizing the prejudices" is one way of putting it

i guess the media should be downplaying the muslim registry parts of his campaign? not covering how he wants to stop letting muslims into america? not cover the spike in hate crimes against muslims after his election? are all those examples of "sensationalizing the prejudice"?

sorry you're sick of it though, must be getting really hard on you

Talking about racism is objectively worse than racism in 2016. Can't wait for President Trump to raise the national discourse level.

It goes both ways, TD. I never disputed that. Although, I don't see you jumping to the aid of the media when it isn't convenient for your narrative.

I think it's a lot harder for the victims and their families, but as someone who cares about the future of our country, it certainly bothers me.

I don't understand the question. Neither "offends" me.

If someone wants to throw a fit over "Happy Holidays," go right ahead. That's certainly their choice. I'll keep saying "Happy Holidays" because that is what I have control over.

If a mass killing occurs, it is terribly tragic. And I hope our country takes reasonable steps (on multiple fronts) to keep them from happening in the future. I'm not going to condemn any one religion and I'm not going to commit a mass killing. Those are things I have control over.

Maybe your question is better phrased as which I think is worse. People dying is always going to be worse. In both instances there is religious fervor that cause people to act out (certainly in some situations more drastically than others).

3 months ago when the police officers in Dallas were killed, the sky was falling and we were headed towards a race war. Now when a bigot is elected president, the alt-right starts chanting "Heil Trump", and Trump is filling his cabinet with the likes of Steve Bannon and Jeff Sessions, it's just "sensationalized". Nothing to see here folks, politics as usual, you're just mad that you lost.
