Hunter Sallis

I don’t think Salis is that great of a ball handler. He struggles under the press. Boopie and Cam are both better ball handlers imho.

Salis is another level scorer though.

Sallis isn't really a PG, though... he just plays it some out of necessity. He should come back and learn how to play PG all next year though!

I don't think it's an absurd take to say he's the best guard we've had since Paul though. He's certainly right there in the discussion with JGray, Teague, ManMan, and Appleby.
Poor Ish again 😂🤦🏼‍♀️

Sallis may be the best scorer I've ever seen in a Wake uniform. Behind some real good players, but as a scorer, he may be the best. Kind of weird that I would put Manman in that short list.

Obviously you’re not counting Childress, right?
Near the top of the list! I was there for Randolph's years and he had to do it against some much stiffer competition, but Sallis ability to elevate and use his length to get a shot off is next level. Teague had that first step that was next level and Sallis seems to be able to pull up from anywhere and rise up for good look.

Sallis is probably a better athlete than Childress (Randolph). But, Childress had the it factor that very few players have. He could put the ball in the basket with pure will.

Chill's obviously a legend and his ability to hit clutch shots has to count for something, but Sallis' numbers are comparable.

Sallis: .514/.435/.786 18.7ppg
Chill: .484/.442/.833 20.1ppg

That's Sallis' slash line for just this year. Chill's slashes are his highest individual season averages across his career (fg% and 3pt% from his soph year and ft% and ppg from his senior year).

Not trying to say that Sallis is a better college player, but his shooting numbers are way up there in Wake hoops history.

Randolph and CP3 were pure cold blooded killers. Sallis doesn't have that. Few ever will.
