Conference Expansion: Stanford, California and SMU Join the ACC

Not happening this decade, and if it does, it's happening with a hefty check attached to it
We aren't going to play either much over the next 12 seasons so may as well get money for them leaving.

Have there been any actual solid reports about FSU or Clemson status since the start of the season?

Likely f$u has seen the light that their CFP chances are greatly increased staying right where they are.
Exactly. At 10-0 they are on top in the ACC. But they are still behind UGa, OSU, Mich. So if they joined the SEC or Big 10, they would have to work a lot harder to get to where they are today. And it has taken them 10 years to get there in the ACC.

But if making the CFP was the important thing this whole time, they wouldn’t have been complaining about the money.

....and a boat load of NIL $.

Why do you people act like FSU was in some unredeemable position ? They won a national championships in 1993 and 1999 under Coach Bowden. Jimbo won a National Championship in 2013. He left for two truckloads of money when the administration wouldn't commit to facilities upgrades. They made a bad hire. They fired the bad hire. They lost to Wake Forest a few times. They got a new, better coach and they're back in the hunt for a national championship.

Importantly, starting next season, if they go 11-2, they'll probably be in the CFP every year.

Yesterday, a court ruled in favor of Oregon State and Wazzu's position that they alone control the Pac-12 given all other schools in the conference have announced they are abandoning that conference. Will they play hard-ball? This sets an interesting precedent when/if other schools abandoning their conferences (WF v. Cuse for the ACCCG):

I saw "Pac2" trending on Twitter, which is cool, and then I realized they should change the conference name to "2Pac."
