NFL preseason thread

Patriots sign Jabar Gaffney, they really needed another WR, they were looking thin there after the offseason moves they made.

Do you think Belicheck is going to try to get the A-11 made legal in the NFL?

I still can't believe that Coples went before Ingram, and that he went to the easiest team in the NFL to hate. Suck it Jets.

It's a great signing, all things considered. That gives them the following WR heading into camp: Welker, Lloyd, Gaffney, Branch, Slater, Ocho, Edelman, Stallworth, Gonzalez, and Ebner. Welk, Lloyd, Gaffney, and Slater are all locks to make the team. That leaves Branch, Ocho, Edelman, Stallworth, Gonzalez, and Ebner fighting over the final two or three spots. I have to think Branch and Ocho have the inside track there, but there's no guarantee... And when you consider Edelman's value in ST, that complicates things.

Bottom line: Gaffney's in no way redundant, and he'll be an impact player in the passing game.
