The "we" in that statement includes a lot of the shit libs in congress.

Correct. Only Gowdy and Schiff have seen the underlying FISA application and warrant.

I still have no fucking idea how Nunes wrote this memo without viewing the underlying documents. That alone should tell everyone how credible it is.

he's Trump's errand-boy

You put information in an explanatory footnote that is not central to the argument, not particularly relevant or important. They hid the information under some general innocuous terminology in the footnote, when they had exact accurate knowledge of who ordered and paid for the Steele dossier. They were "not volunteering information" - to put it in Watergate terms - for the judge. The whole footnote business was to cover their asses, which is what they continue to do to this day. They were being deliberately unforthcoming and ultimately dishonest with the judge in order to get the warrant. The political bias of Steele is one thing, the political biases of the agents and the DoJ - or perhaps the judge - is another matter to consider.

This whole matter is difficult to evaluate without a lot more detail about the FISA court, its role in this matter, and the whole surveillance of Carter Page.

what? You are going to cry like a snowflake that it was in the footnote not in the main text? time to change your Pampers

why would DNC funding of the dossier be relevant anyway if it brought to light actual evidence of wrongdoing?

You have no idea what you are talking about. You have not seen the FISA warrant documents and you have no clue what normal FISA procedures are for FISA warrants. Pretty ridiculous to call the entire DOJ and FBI biased and dishonest when you have have no clue what the normal unbiased and honest process looks like and you don't have full knowledge of what this specific warrant request entails.

This is fucked up because Ryan is actually correct here, but the means by which the GOP exposed this problem are absolute hackery. The FISC has enormous power to violate individual liberties on private citizens with almost no oversight. The only way to prevent abuse and corruption is by trusting the goodness of the people on the court and applying for warrants (i.e., FBI agents). This is the system that was set up after 9/11 in the hysteria and trauma, and the oversight was left out because national security was too important. The massive expansion of FISC powers was a Republican baby and neo-con dream, and while it has some value to our society, its kind of a scary entity as well. Talking about this entity and understanding how it works and providing some capacity for civilian oversight would be a good thing.

Trump on the Schiff memo.

So, the memo is fewer pages than our thread about the memos and he doesn't have time to read it? Man, now I'm really starting to feel like I'm wasting my time here in the tunnels, guys. I only want summaries posted from here on out.
