Sellout? More than a few no-shows.You think that game was a “sellout” if it wasn’t homecoming?

You must mean "to whom are you referring."Who are you referring to?
This is the defensive scheme we will see for the rest of the year. Keep safeties deep to prevent the big play, try to take away the run game, and try to pressure the QB.Offense
Defense
- Cooley should start if healthy
- There was a point in the game where I thought Clawson may put in Griffis for a series
- Oline just got straight beat by Liberty's Dline the whole game
- We are one of the worst rushing offenses in the ACC after three games
Other
- We are a top-5 defense in the ACC in yards/game allowed and top-4 in yards-per-play after three games
- Secondary made some great plays on the ball, but CBs got turned around a lot/ bad angles tackling to give those like ~10yard stop routes into bigger plays
- Did not understand some of the blitzes give that the Liberty QB made his best plays on the move.
- Run defense looked solid in the first half, saggy in the second half
- Freeze had a good game plan to take on the mesh and how to attack our cornerbacks
- Liberty is going to win at least 8 games this season
- Kickoffs may cost us a game this season
- Morin is a weapon on special teams
- Dennis tested in a game that mattered and came through
- There were a lot of Wake injuries (Key, Greene, Carson, Manginn...)
They started the game and we’re on the field probably 20-25 plays together. Banks got lots of reps and made the most of them. I was surprised Morin was MIA for lots of the second half but again Key made the most of his reps.I must really have never paid enough attention to this but does Perry and Greene always rotate possession’s? They were never in the game together last night
Our system needs a RB who can (will) block. He looked like the better back last year as well.
Just like KW3 looked like our best back the year before. Our coaches don't seem to reward explosiveness.
Clawson addressed this in the postgame, saying they loaded the box and crashed the ends and we had plays called to address it but didn’t execute. Remember Sam sailing a few over quick sideline outs and AT dropping some and a few penalties. Sam chose to go deep more often instead of intermediate which they gave us. Not his best day of reading and progression. But a W.I didn't get to watch the game and was amazed at our terrible running stats. It was a simplistic question - why couldn't we run? I guess I meant - was their DL and overall defense just better? Or did our OL play poorly? Or did our RBs play poorly? Or was it a problem with playcalling? Or what?
Yeah, my wife made that comment when we were leaving ‘everyone looks like their team lost’
They just won their matchups at the LOS. The pass blocking was OK, the run blocking Wake lost up-front every series. I can't imagine it will be much different against Clemson.I didn't get to watch the game and was amazed at our terrible running stats. It was a simplistic question - why couldn't we run? I’m about 3 rows up from the bench. You should of seen the breathing techniques he was using during the game lolWake’s running back rotation has always been bizarre and seems to give our best back the least amount of carries. The holding call on Cooley’s 15 yarder was absolute BS too.
I know there’s a lot of frustration but that game seemed like an absolute fluke in every way possible. Hopefully it was a wake up call.
Listening to Clawson in the post game he sounded about as tight as I’ve ever heard him after a win.
I understand the concerns but you also have to step back and evaluate the facts before overreacting to one game. Let’s remember this is essentially the same OL as last year less one NFL talent but still a very strong core and by all accounts more quality depth. So this group has competed effectively vs everyone on our schedule, except possibly CU and Pitt last year where they had their struggles. So I think both Libertys talent and coaching scheme to shut down run was a big culprit and a great wake up for the unit and coaches and think they will adjust and be ready for similar future schemes. We also still have yet to see Petitbon who was a top recruit and possible starter if not for injury. Sell also has yet to play who believe was expected to contribute. Would love to know when they are expected to come back as need them all.It really doesn't bode well for the rest of the season when you can't win the LOS against liberty. They had more talent than I thought. But really. We aren't beating very many teams on our schedule with an effort like yesterday.

Quad rolling is for rivalry games or big wins, not every single football win.Not sure if related, but I had a chance to stop by campus this afternoon and the quad was minimally rolled.
Maybe because not a real rivalry or division or conference game…? Or partly because of winning (barely) and feeling like we underperformed??

Maybe the students are looking ahead to next week.
Used to be that quad rolls were for every football win and big basketball wins. But we're a football school now.
Fixed it for you.yep…gridiron progress! No doubt when we beat Clemson it’ll be properly rolled.
